Tax Day and knits

Whew! I think this is the first time in years I've been done with taxes before the 15th, it feels good! Well, I volunteered to help a friend out with some dresses for her daughter's wedding. And I'm done with 2 and have the last one to finish. I got some great tips on sewing with knits while working on these and I'd like to share. First of all, I was scared to death after I offered help, because sewing with knits has always been a disaster for me in the past and I've avoided them like crazy. But, if you sew the knit with a small zig-zag stitch and decrease your feed dog tension, it goes "like butter". I am so grateful to have had this experience to advance my sewing skills. Now all that's left to conquer is chiffon . . .
